COPD Across America

How does your state compare?

COPD affects an estimated 30 million Americans but up until now little has been known about how one state compares to another.

The COPD Foundation has been at the forefront of a landmark effort to examine the burden of COPD which will inform public health.

The COPD Foundation, using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) as well as other sources, analyzed data for all states and created individual assessment cards* focusing on ten key performance areas.

To view the complete article upon which these cards were based go to National and State Estimates of COPD Morbidity and Mortality — United States, 2014 2015 in the Journal of the COPD Foundation.
