Bronchiectasis and NTM Association
The Bronchiectasis and NTM Association is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease.
Bronchiectasis is a chronic lung disease that affects hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S. It is characterized by the widening of the small airways, which allows for the collection of mucus in the airways, and in turn causes recurring lung infections.
Nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease is common in individuals with bronchiectasis. NTM are naturally occurring bacteria, some of which cause lung infections.
The Association is committed to advancing high-quality, specialized care, research, education, support, and advocacy within the bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease communities.
The Association’s initiatives and programs include: BronchandNTM360social, the Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center Network, World Bronchiectasis Day, monthly virtual Coffee Break meetings, the Bronchiectasis and NTM Research Registry, educational materials and more.
The Bronchiectasis and NTM Association is a unit of the COPD Foundation.
