I was diagnosed a few years ago when I was 36 or 37. My Doctor at first never told me how important it was to take my medicine and looking back I wish I would have. I have a different Doctor now. I'm taking 2 inhalers and daily breathing treatments. I quit smoking in August and improved how I was feeling. I got a cold a month ago and starting coughing up more mucus and I'm worried I am getting worse. I can't believe I have this and I'm only 40. I wish I never bought that first pack of cigs when I was 15. I also wish I would've quit when I was diagnosed. Anyway, my question is how long is it usually between stage 2 and stage 3? I just want to know if I'm gonna be here 5 years, a decade, or longer. I'm really scared about being on oxygen in the future.
