So I had a pulmonologist turn up and tell me I don't have COPD, just bad asthma. Told him all about the injury that caused what was obviously sepsis damaging my lungs (remote regional health center...). Now I had some bad flares post sepsis, never had anything like it before.
Anyway because I'm younger I got brushed off as having panic disorder. Now I admit I have PTSD and depression but watching TV laying on your bed isn't my idea of a panic attack when I have random heart palpitations. A pulmonologist listened to my chest, took a medical history, looked at a few of my imaging results and told me I just have asthma (not that asthma can't easily kill you but whatever).
My question is has anyone else experienced this? I have a GP that is listening and referral back to my cardiologist and a respiratory specialist center. I have to travel to the mainland again so I'll probably have a massive flare.
If anyone has had this experience how did you deal with it?
