I had my last pulmonary functions test done in 2023 and I was at 37%. I lost insurance so I have not had another. December 31st I go for another one and to meet with the new pulmonologist. I had my chest X ray today. I am scared to go.
I have been reading and from what I understand you are considered stage 4 if you are under 30%. I have also read that the average survival is 5-7 years at that stage. I am so scared to hear the doctor tell me that. It is not enough time.
Have you known anyone with 30% or less function that has lived longer than that?
