I am a 30 year old guy who has had asthma my entire life. I smoked for roughly 10 years, with a year break in the middle. Originally it was just marijuana but a lot of it, then it was vape, then cigarettes. I was doing around 5 - 7 cigarettes a day when 7 months ago, I got really sick and developed this weird barking, dry cough and sighing dyspnea. The cough is still here but the breathlessness isn't 24/7 like it used to be, but I feel it every day. It's almost impossible for me to tell what causes it. Sometimes physical activity does it, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have it after sleeping, sometimes I don't.
I ended up getting numerous xrays of my chest and one chest ct. All came back clear of any damage or infection. The radiologist even marked my airways as normal in the report of the ct. I've have my spirometry records from the last 6 years and all they show is a normal slight decline that would be expected in a healthy adult,

I'm seeing a pulmonologist in a month and I'm hoping I get good news but I'm scared. What are the odds I have copd or something bad in my lungs?
