My dad was dx with COPD/Emphysema 5 years ago. He has never wanted me to go to any doctors appointments with him...until now. He feels that he is at the "beginning of the end". I'm just not really sure what questions to ask when I take him tomorrow. He is fully dependent on Oxygen and a concentrator, even though his oxygen levels are normal. He started smoking when he was 13 and continues to smoke, he is now 61. (don't judge...it makes me crazy enough). He is unable to do anything without having small exacerbations and if he doesn't get a hold of them immediately, he winds up in the hospital. Our trips right now are about 2-3 per year. So....what questions should I be prepared with for the appointment tomorrow? Thanks in advance!
