My dad has 2/3 stage COPD and in his annual CT scan, the Dr said the nodules grew. We had a X-ray in 2015, CT, 2016 and now 2017 the nodules grew. So what happens now? we are suppose to see the pulmonologist next week but clinical people are calling to schedule more appoints with other doctors. Dr mentioned that my dad's lungs are so bad that he may not wake up from a biopsy so they may have to go straight to radiation. is this the best option? what are some alternative treatments or test to confirm is it actually cancer and what's the best treatment option if it is cancer?
