My wife has been diagnosed with COPD: there are two Pulmonary Groups in our area one does not accept self pay, the other saw her, confirmed the diagnosis and told her not to come back unless she had insurance. He said she needed a CT Scan to check a spot on her lung (from an ER x-ray), but wouldn't give her the scan without insurance. Told her she should be on Anoro or Stiolto but instead gave her a three month script for Foradil (which has been discontinued). End of appointment...
I need to find a doctor that will treat my wife like a patient not a paycheck. We don't know anything more than before she was diagnosed. Everything I know has come from the internet...I'd like to actually speak with a doctor who is there to help. Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be appreciated.
