Hi everyone,
I am a 27-year-old male. About nine months ago, I started noticing changes in my breathing. The change was quite drastic—one moment I felt normal, the next I was struggling—and it hasn’t gone away.
It took a few months and visits to several doctors before I saw a pulmonologist. Currently, I have better days and some worse days, but since the very first day, I haven’t had a truly normal day.
From what I understand, everything else on my spirometry looks normal, but we are unsure why my RV is elevated. I am currently using Sereflo and Budeflam as prescribed.
I have had three spirometry tests so far:
-
First test: My RV was 171% of predicted. My doctor prescribed Sereflo, Budeflam, and antibiotics, and we rescheduled for two weeks later.
-
Second test (after 2 weeks): My RV had decreased from 171% to 147%. Both my doctor and I thought this was a good response and decided to continue the treatment for three more months.
-
Third test (after 3 months of inhalers and antibiotics): My RV increased again to 161%.
I will attach my latest spirometry results. Let me know if the first two tests would also be useful for context, and I can add them.
Any insights or experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated.
