I had to go into the hospital for pneumonia almost two weeks ago and at the follow-up visit with the doctor who was assigned to me he told me that I had mild COPD along with mild hypertension. I live alone and have no relatives and am terrified. I also suffer from anxiety. I have stopped smoking and am walking each day about twenty minutes. I am very overweight so am trying to eat healthy. I am 66 yrs old. The doctor will see me in 2 weeks but has not said anything about seeing a pulmonologist. Am I going to get worse and become disabled? I wish I had some friends nearby who have this so I could have some support and help. Is there any way this will not get worse. All the websites say it will. Thanks for any help
