I wanted to ask a question. Is there any way through which we can better the lungs performance? My grandmother was in ICU for several days. Basically she had acute pencreatitis two years ago and went for a lapro to remove the gallbladder whose stone caused it. Then she was fine all the way. Just recently out of nowhere her bp shots up for which they gave an injection and bp got very low. In hospital they found out there was extreme infection and they stated doing medication to treat it. Later found out she caught pnemonia and her lungs aren't working properly. For many days she was there in ICU and then doctors gave answer that there's no recovery at this age.(81) she's at home with artificial oxygen all the time and tube for feeding and on bed. They say her lungs are only working 7% rest all is that artificial oxygen.
