Hello, I have COPD and have lung CT scans from time to time. In my recent one, a pulmonologist noticed two lung nodules. She compared it with another scan done 3 months earlier and they were also there. In the beginning she got worried, but then she tried to calm me down saying that they are probably benign scars from infections (which I’ve had a lot). She is my new doctor as I’ve changed doctors recently and the previous one never mentioned anything. At the moment, she decided not to do anything and told me to come back for another scan in November. But now I’m sick worried and I don’t know how to live with these thoughts till November. I’ve been reading on the internet that the only way to know for sure it’s to do a biopsy. But my doctor thinks is too invasive at this point. Please tell me it’s gonna be ok.. I’ve just turned 44, and I have a 2-year old..
