Started seeing pulmonologist in February 2018 in Stage 3. In July 2018, I was at end of Stage 3, tested for Alpha-1, which was negative. I've been working in hosiery mills for 44 years. I'm sure the lint exacerbates my condition but I can't afford to stop working (I live alone & have no other income). I also work 12 hours night shift (very little sleep or rest). My pulmonologist says that I wouldn't qualify for Disability Benefits. I've been having some issues with my vision & dizziness for a couple of months. I went to the ER last week & a CT-SCAN showed 2 small brain aneurysms. Now have an appointment with a neurosurgeon in a little over a week. I believe I would improve if I could stop working & don't want to take my last breath on the mill floor. How bad do I have to get to qualify for Disability?
