Hello, Last October, i went to see a doctor for help/advise with smoking cessation. The doctor had a spirometry test done in the office. He said my airways where very tight. He prescribed nicotine patches and wellbutrin for the smoking cessation. When I went to pickup the meds from the pharmacy and there was also Spiriva 2.5. This is how I found out that I might COPD. Although I did have a cough before the doctor visit, I had never experienced any shortness of breath and I am very active. When I went for a follow up and took a second spirometer test the doctor was surprised by the results. He then change my prescription to Spiriva 1.25. I have not smoked in 10 months and can do 40-50 minutes of moderate to high intensity cardio with out a problem. I explained this to the doctor and asked, If I needed the medication, and he said I could just use a recuse inhaler. I have felt like I needed a recuse inhaler. I stopped coughing about one month after quitting. Does this timeline of medication seem right?
