I am so confused I was sure a Radiologist makes a diagnosis ( Impression) it may as well be set in stone then went to Pulmonary MD # 1who never mentioned the words COPD or Emphysema but said summary of PFT was mild to moderate obstructive small airway disease upon PFT of FEV1/FVC 69.8%. and Diffusion Capacity is Normal. so went to another Pulmonologist and voila same thing no mention of COPD or Emphysema but possibly slight Asthma. Of course I quit smoking dead on the spot when I received CT Scan explanation of Mild Emphysema. I actually gave a copy of the disc to the Pulmonologist and he looked at it thoroughly along with the staff Radiologist at the Pulmonary Office and flat out told me you do not have COPD. His "official" diagnosis is quite vague as his notes state only. Lifelong smoker (quit) at risk. Now more confused especially PFT said 69.8 which is technically below .7 (which defines COPD. The Emphysema part baffles me more since I assumed a Radiologist must know what emphysema looks like.
