My mom is back in the hospital, same issue as in Feb/March..... high blood gases (Carbon Dioxide ???). When she was released in March, she got a BIPAP machine..... During the day, her blood gases would rise, but at night when she is sleeping on her BIPAP machine, they would come down.... all good.......
Well it seems they are rising too fast... she was on the BIPAP machine yesterday while in the emergency room, and she came off for 1 hour to eat... and they had gone right back up in that hour....
I never speak to her doctors/nurses.... I get all my information through my mom....... Shes usually always in for the same thing (exacerbation) ... so I dont really need to talk to anyone.. .we know the drill.....
But what now??? What can they do for someone whose blood gases are crazy high, and rise back up quickly??? I know my moms lungs are getting weaker and weaker.... but what can they do for her to keep her going at home for as long as she has left?
