As the title suggests I have invested in some breath trainers. Anything and everything to get back in the ocean, at least 3 x a week. Just wanting feedback on the items. The welcare breatheasy, an incentive spirometer and my peak flow meter.
I have the welcare set at 4, it is quite challenging at that setting and I don't want to risk further lung injury so it stays at 4 ATM. What are other people's experience with this product? It seems to help but I could see it being an issue of you set it too high.
The peak flow I use every morning before my medications. It varies a lot. Sometimes I get it up around 700 other times it's 550 or so, on the same morning? Like one blow 700, the next 600? Same technique. When this happens I'm very conscious of not blow darting the flow meter. It is a mid price unit, about $50 Aussie $ or about $30 US. I also use it in the evening before meds and sometimes during the day, helps clear out the junk.
The incentive spirometer is a mayo clinic item. It is good. I try and use it 4-5 x a day. I'm not religious with it but am trying to include all three devices and workout every day. Today I've been for x 2 jogs/walks, 20 minutes each. Seems reasonable and hopefully I see some improvement. 😊
Thank you for your thoughts and feedback in advance.
