My dog, Lucky, is afraid of my O2 tubing. Any suggestions?

I changed the long hose a week or so ago, and now Lucky is afraid to step over it. The way my room is arranged, he almost always has to step over it. He will stand there and wimper, or go over it then back up several times. Suggestions. ed
