In a study of 1,202 individuals with COPD, researchers examined the relationships between educational attainment, household income and race to a variety of outcome measures, including COPD severity, pulmonary functional impairment, physical functional limitations and COPD exacerbations. Lower levels of education and income were related to poorer outcomes for study participants.
