Home-based pulmonary rehabilitation program: Effect on exercise tolerance and quality of life in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients

This is a randomized clinical trial of home-based pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in a sample of 39 individuals with COPD. Subjects in the intervention group were assigned to home-based PR for two months in addition to standard of care. Researchers identified significant improvements in 6-minute walk distance, health-related quality of life and COPD health outcomes measures for those in the treatment group.
