To my knowledge one doesn't cause the other but wanted to see if anyone else gets it to the point of excruciating pain when trying to eat anything. I felt an exacerbation coming on so I jumped into my action plan and started the prednisone, saw my Pulmo and was prescribed some antibiotics. That worked, saved me from going to the hospital. When I stopped the prednisone the heartburn came. It got worse and worse and finally ended up going to the ER anyway for massive stomach pain. They gave me some prescriptions and told me to go see a Gastronterologist. I still have some stomach pain when eating even on the prescription medication. They did an ultrasound at the hospital and said my liver, kidneys and gull-bladder look very good. Called the GI for an appointment and can't get in until Feb. My PCP is out of town and well I don't know any more. When it rains it pours. I gotta eat, lights need to go up, I can't be tied down at the holidays. COPD is bad enough, don't need no dam ulcer, if that's what it is... No one knows. Ok, thanks you guys. I had thought of playing chicken with a semi but then I wouldn't be able to smoke anymore, oh that's right I quit, well now what. lol.
