There is a new study publication that you may want to read.
This study had two groups of people with COPD and normal oxygen levels. One group was given 4lpm oxygen during exercise training and the other group received 4lpm of air. Neither group had oxygen use outside of the exercise training program.
The group with oxygen had improved quality of life, improved 6 minute walk test and more. This benefit was extended for an additional 12 weeks after the exercise program when no further oxygen was used. Very interesting study.

This is one great example of why we need to build our COPD PPRN. We need to connect researchers to people like you to evaluate things like this.
There is another study underway call LOTT. That information won’t be released for another year or two. LOTT is for people with moderate hypoxia, that do not need oxygen 24/7, but may benefit from oxygen during exercise and other times.
