I met with my primary's nurse. She did the usual bp and oximeter readings, listened to my lungs, yada yada. No bloodwork. We just yakked for a bit, went over the meds I need to stop taking a week before surgery and that was it. I use o2 for walking around but did not have it on during the visit and my o2 saturation while seated on room air was 93. I looked in mychart this morning and see that this nurse(apnp) has me diagnosed with chronic respiratory failure. I have never been told this by my pulmo, never been treated for it, never had any emergency room visits. If I'm in respiratory failure, wouldn't I know it?
