After a lot of years of COPD phlegm problems it was only recently suggested my a plumologist that I try Azithromycin. It seemed to help, but since I have a hearing problem it did not seem to be a good idea based on literature that says it can affect hearing. Then he suggested Roflumilast. It also had side effects but may be acceptable if I take a lot less than recommended. It seems to really work, and I am taking only 250 mcg every other day along with 100mg of Fisetin after each meal. Wierd thing is that 250mcg pills of Roflumilast costs 5 times as much as 500mcg pills and so far I don't know if 500mcg would have too many side effects. I have basically stopped all the phlegm I was getting when I eat somethingl ????
I was only on Azithromycin for about two months and Roflumilast less than a month. When I took 250mcg of Roflumilast every morning I got some dizzyness or brain fogging. I don't seem to get a bad brain feeling if I take it every other day. It may be affecting the bowels some.
Does anybody else have any experience with this?
Why wasn't it ever mentioned before --by severeal doctors?
