Had PFT 3 years ago revealing "moderate".. Like a fool, I didn't stop smoking a pack of cigs per day. I don't have SOB and not on O2. Just cough in morning only with small mucous production. Saw new doctor Wed 6/26 and he called me Fri 6/28 to say the radiologist saw some patchy lung changes on lower lungs and one area on right upper lung. He said it's not likely to be cancer because cancer looks different on xray. He wouldn't say what he thought it might be, but I suspect emphysema (?) Anyway, I'm supposed to make appointments for PFT and CT scan. I'm really nervous about the tests. Going to Denver next month and thinking to put off the tests until I get back home. Guess I don't want the truth about my worsened condition to interfere with the joy of seeing family..
