Since switching from Trelegy 100 to 200 last June, I’ve gone from at least two exacerbations per year to none so far, and it’s been 10 mos now. My last PFT results in Jan were greatly improved and my exercise tolerance is so much better. No breathlessness at all (except normal from working out). Doctor suggested 200 a couple of years ago, but I was hesitant to switch because I was afraid that I would develop a tolerance to it and then from there there would be nothing better for me to take, but I’m so glad I switched and I feel like I have a normal life now. Well, except for the fact that I have to take this drug every day. Once in a rare while, I’ll take a puff of albuterol if I am going to be pushing really hard that day whether working out at gym or doing yardwork. Here are my PFT results I got off my chart for a few past years plus this years.
quit 2018
FEV1 68 1.69L FEV1/FVC 109 dlco 71
FEV1 72%, FEV1/FVC 90, DLCO 73
FEV1 74 1.87L
(Jan) FEV1 83%, 1.88L, FEV1/FVC 102, DLCO 67
Anyway, just posting this here for anyone who’s on the fence about taking 200 for the same reasons I had.
