Full pft vs Spirometry

Is there any way to determine cause of reduction in lung function?

My FEV1 has gone from 83% (mild) to 69% (moderate). My pulmonologist tells me that there is no way to determine if the reduction in lung function is due to the emphysema, or the fact that 2 lung lobes have been removed due to lung cancer.
