About Big Baton Pass:
The World COPD Day Big Baton Pass started in 2023 as a way to coordinate global COPD advocacy efforts and bring together healthcare professionals, advocacy organizations, and the patient/caregiver community for a united event. The event has grown from a humble 24-hour treadmill challenge featuring “COPD Athlete” Russell Winwood and his family to a day-long, globe-spanning collaboration highlighting every aspect of COPD care.
By visiting https://copdbatonpass.org/ at any time globally on World COPD Day, November 19, 2025, viewers will be able to learn more about living with the condition, discover new ways to manage symptoms, and even interact with people working on research and education programs.
