The PRAXIS How-To: Moving Between Discussion Groups
Posted on September 29, 2015 |
COPD360Social is the COPD Foundation's online community for all individuals affected by COPD, including patients, family members, caregivers and healthcare providers. It provides a single online home for these millions of individuals. The PRAXIS social (or discussion) group is a subgroup within COPD360Social.
The PRAXIS social group. Within the PRAXIS social group, you will find conversations between PRAXIS users. Any registered COPD360Social user can join the PRAXIS social group, but only members of the group can see the discussions posted there. The social group contains its own Questions & Answers tab as well as an Events tab, where the PRAXIS team will post conferences and workshops that may be of interest to the PRAXIS community.
The main COPD360Social feed. The COPD360Social activity feed is open to all registered users. Here you will also see Questions and Answers as well as general discussion; however, PRAXIS discussions are not visible to all users in this feed. Only PRAXIS users can see these discussions and they are designated with an orange and blue pinwheel -- this is how you know a discussion is happening in the PRAXIS social group specifically.
Note that comments or likes on both Resource Repository and PRAXIS Nexus (blog) items show up in the main COPD360Social activity feed only.
Moving between the two discussion areas. It may be confusing at first, but it just takes a few days on the site to become familiar with the navigation! PRAXIS members can always switch easily between COPD360Social and the PRAXIS subgroup by clicking on "COPD360Social" in the main site menu at the top of any page. A drop-down menu will appear; simply choose "Activity Feed" or "Questions and Answers" (circled in red below) for the main social group or "PRAXIS Community Discussions" for the PRAXIS subgroup (in blue).
We'll do our very best to ensure you a streamlined experience in PRAXIS -- stay tuned for more information!
