Hi everyone,
I’m 57 years old and recently had a spirometry test where my FEV1 dropped from 30% down to 21% (GOLD Stage 3/4). I haven't had any recent flare-ups, colds, or changes in my mucus, and I'm not on supplemental oxygen. My Alpha-1 test came back normal (M/M). The only real change is that my doctor recently added Ohtuvayre twice daily to my usual Trelegy 100 and albuterol.
I recently declined pulmonary rehab, but I'm looking for practical advice on how others around my age manage daily tasks with a low FEV1.
Are there any others in their 50s living with an FEV1 in the low 20s who are keeping stable? I’d love to hear how you handle your daily routine, pace yourselves, and manage this drop without panicking.
Thanks for reading!
