My pulmo doctor gave me the pulmonary function test breathing into a tube in and out. He diagnosed a string of words, but I now know it may be one and not the others. COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma. The test result was not great around 50% and his diagnosis is just copd, but he seems unsure as I quit smoking in 1978 or so. No family history or gene for Alpha, good o2 and Co2. Good mall aerobic walks in cool air. So I doubt emphysema. Then perhaps chronic bronchitis or asthma.
What are the more specific tests to know which I have. I am on Trelegy inhaler and retest later today.
