Hi, so I just got the results of my pulmonary function test. I was surprised to see that the results were actually better than two years ago, not much, but better. That surprised me because I have been feeling worse and more limited. Now that I have had some time to think about the results I realize that the weight may not have been recorded correctly. I have been retaining fluid due to medication I am on for high blood pressure. So, I weigh about 10pounds more than normal. While my weight today is 123 due to fluid retention my weight two years ago was 113. Would that make a big difference in the accuracy of the test? Does anyone have an idea? Did this ever happen to anyone else? I was so happy when I saw the results of this latest PFT but, now I am not sure if it is even correct. My pulmonologist won't return my phone calls and I am in the process trying to find someone else. So, I am hoping someone can give me some idea how much faith I can have in these latest results.
