I love to sing, but my voice gets froggy after just one or two songs, and sometimes my voice is totally shot by that point. I’ve noticed that my vocal endurance has been declining from a normal level when I was a kid to where it is now (I’m 38). I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis late last year, and seem to be in the very early stages of COPD: mostly just coughing with mucus, but noticeably reduced breathing ability when singing or doing something similarly taxing on the lungs. Anyone else have a similar experience with singing? Any tips on how to overcome it, or does it just come with the territory?
