My MIL has COPD but has been very private about her diagnosis and how advanced it is. She had a health crisis while traveling abroad that resulted in intubation. We are having her medically evacuated but this has required her to be intubated longer than we anticipated. Knowing nothing about COPD I was hoping someone could help me understand what the after might be like for someone with COPD who has been intubated for a week. Thank you. Please forgive if some of my questions seem uninformed. I figured better to ask here than to go down a google rabbit hole.
