If we all reach our goals and live to be very old, we are much more likely to fall and have a fracture. If we work on balance, our bodies will automatically try to right themselves as they do in the poses.I took some modern dance classes (interpretive dance) and we practiced falls. Some of these were like prat falls that comedians use. I have taken some very bad spills and am amazed when I go to get up and find that I have extended my arm straight under my head as in a practiced side fall, or find myself in a ball rolling backward or forward. Our brains process these skills as survival skills and they just kick into place when we need them. Please spend some time working on balance. - See more at: What do these exercises do to help me with my COPD?
