I published a post some weeks ago because of my problems with mucus clearance and bronchial hypersecretion and people here suggested that my problem could be related with bronchiectasies. Despite the fact that my ct-scan doesn't show symptoms of it my pulmonologist have said to me this week that due my symptoms probably there is some bronchial deterioration that is causing that. So, I would appreciate some advice of people who are suffering it. I am a 38 years old male and I have been a very heavy smoker for 20 years with repeated infections and increased problems because of it. I finally quitted smoking completely last year on September. I exercise 45 minutes everyday. When I have no mucus in my throat I have no problem but everytime I feel mucus I can't clear it voluntarily and the only thing I can do is waiting to cough it up spontaneously. The problem worsens when I am exposed to any irritant because the increasing mucus accumulated in my throat. I would be very glad to know your experiences with that because I don't know if I will have a good life or this is going to worsen over time. When I am ok I forgot it and I feel ok but everytime I feel this mucus I end up frustrated and thinking that I'll end up choking on my own mucus. Thanks in advance to all of you. Regards
