Close Anonymous Unfriend Friend Requested Friend Load More Close Destination Page Area Group Destination Content Title Title Article Type Copy comments Can you provide me some clarity on this test. My pulmo doctor is focused on the FEV1 value. Mine is 60% of predicted value (on Trelegy). So this is moderate disease on the Gold guidelines. However, he ignores the ratio FEV1/FVC. Mine is 71%, and normal is 70% of predicted value (65% for those over age 65). He keeps telling me I have severe disease and pushes back when I say moderate. The ratio is not mentioned. Why is he focused on the bad news and no mention of the good news? I got a copy of my records at my last appointment, and this gives me the numbers to research on my own. He seemed reluctant to give me the records, but did.
