Would there be obvious differences between the two on CT scans? I am trying to avoid googling but I am just curious about this because I do have some relevant history that pertains to potential bullae formation. I am terrible at remembering all the questions for my appointments and next time I will for sure write them down so I can avoid bugging all of you constantly. I guess I just keep getting stuck on the results of my PFT. My doc said they are normal, he even used the word great. But, it doesn’t seem right that my ratio should be so low all just due to a cyst. I’m trying to have faith in my doctor, I know he’s a good pulmonologist and he knows all of my health history but I just don’t want to skip over any other potential causes. A lot of what I have seen is that cysts typically cause no symptoms and no changes in spirometry so I guess that’s why I was curious about Bullae, since you often see it as a differential diagnosis for a large cyst and it can result in mild obstruction. Thanks so much!
