Hello, I am confused about a new prescription. I was taking Spiriva 2.5 for several months and then my prescription was changed to Spiriva 1.25 after a visit with my doctor. I asked him if he thought I really needed to be on 1.25 because I had been feeling very good. He said I could stop taking the medication and be moved to a rescue inhaler when I went to pick up the rescue inhaler I found out it was not covered by my insurance and on my last doctor visit, I asked him to prescribe another one that would be covered. When I went to pick up my prescription it was for Breztri. I was expecting a rescue inhaler. Breztri seems very serious. I have not experienced any shortness of breath with or without the medications. I can easily do 50 minutes of moderate exercise. I’ve made an appointment to speak to my doctor next week. I am upset that I found out, I had this prescription when I picked it up from the pharmacy and I thought I was going to pick up a rescue inhaler. Also, wouldn’t it be better if I actually stayed on the Spiriva there seems to be less side effects.
