November is COPD Awareness Month! This month is a time to spread awareness, share your story, and show support for everyone affected by COPD. Whether you are a person living with COPD, a caregiver, a friend, a family member, or a health care professional, COPD Awareness Month is a time when you can make an important difference.
All month long, the COPD Foundation will be sharing useful resources to help you learn more and spread the word.
Looking to get involved? Here are some things you can do this month:
- Follow the COPD Foundation on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn. We will be posting about COPD Awareness Month and upcoming events.
- Check out the COPD awareness merch on our Spreadshop, where you can order t-shirts, mugs, hoodies, and more.
- Tune in to a special episode of our podcast, the Lung Health Champion, in honor of COPD Awareness Month. This month’s episode will go live on November 15, exploring how COPD uniquely impacts women to highlight the need for greater awareness, research, advocacy, and representation.
- Spread the word about the “Go Orange for COPD Awareness” illumination campaign. More than 75 locations throughout the U.S. and around the globe will be glowing orange this month for COPD Awareness Month. Keep an eye on social media to see if any locations near you may be going orange! On World COPD Day, November 18, you can also join us to watch a livestream of Niagara Falls going orange at 10:15 p.m. ET.
Tell us in the comments: How are you going orange and getting involved in COPD Awareness Month?
