Dr. Bird, the wife of recently deceased Dr. Forest Bird was an internationally recognized commercialization expert. She was the founder and CEO of Innovative Product Technologies Inc., Vice President Percussionaire Corporation and Co-Founder of the Bird Aviation Museum and Invention Center, Dr. Bird was the author of over 70 publications including the book “Inventing For Dummies”. Dr. Bird was also the founder of Inventors Educational Foundation, a non-profit foundation to assist innovators and entrepreneurs with new ideas and innovations. She co-branded the first credit card with MBNA. She was a licensed building contractor and a licensed pilot.Our President John Walsh has issued the following statement: Pam was a dear and devoted friend to our community. Her service as a member of the board of the COPD Foundation was an extension of her compassion and commitment to help those with respiratory conditions. She continued to dedicate herself to support her late husband’s work in the respiratory field. Our thoughts and prayers are with her children Rachael and Brandon and their families on the tragic loss of their beloved mother.
