For a few years AZ would give you Symbicort for the year at no charge if you met certain income requirements (which actually were not bad).
2017 saw a new rule -- you have to spend 3% of your income on out of pocket drugs before you can apply for no charge Symbicort. This impacts some people more than others -- but it's an expensive buy. I don't know if they are changing that policy next year. Also, for New Yorkers, you need to have your MD fill out the form AND send a paper script, which they don't like to do anymore.
