I started having a lot of trouble sleeping about a year ago. Diagnosed with sleep apnea along with COPD. I use a mandibular advancement device for sleep apnea as I could not tolerate CPAP. I am no longer waking up gasping but still have brain fog and mild headaches in morning although it’s not every morning like it used to be. My pulmonologist has scheduled me for an in house sleep study later this month to see what’s going on. I had a very generic home “sleep study” that was only oximetry. My average oxygen was 94 and lowest was 86 (but it was only for 3 seconds). I also sleep on a wedge which I believe helps. Does anyone else have desaturation at night? Since I cannot tolerate CPAP, I’m guessing my only other alternative if I am desaturating would be oxygen at night? I have 77% lung function per my last PFT about 6-8 months ago. My pulmonologist said I have “mild obstruction.” Any answers would be appreciated!
