Hello and good afternoon. Had to call my immunologist. Mucinex was helping me, but this weather has made things worse. Started feeling like I was only taking half-breaths again when inhaling. So- doing a small Prednisone burst, starting with 20 mg per day, for three days, tapering by 5 mg every three days, until I am down to my daily low dose of 5 mg. Staying on the low dose until I see him on my birthday...27th.

Are the scented wax melts off limits for people with COPD? I am wondering if there is anything at all scented that is safe to use. I do miss nice scents like orangenin the house, but not at the expense of health, of course.
My doctor did say no essential oils. I am guessing the wax melts would also be bad?

Mrs, TerryGood day to all...   Waking up to another hot sunny one, but not nearly as bad as other areas.. It surely makes for cabin fever for many of us. I sometimes have problems with going in and out (shopping, etc.) of ac to heat. and wind up feeling the old elephant start sitting on my chest.  I should`nt be complaining because winter will be here before we know it.

Lorrie State Captain of South Mississippi Wanted to share our project with my friends.  My idea was to take a once upholster ottoman that had been abused by kids and food and drinks over the years and turn it into a beautiful work of art . Made from old fence boards and a couple of peices of live edge pine boards and make this One of a kind peice  of furniture and this is what I came up with and my hubby and I built it .

It's going to be a Hot one here today 
heat indexes from 108 to 115 . Had to cancel my Pulmonologist appointment for today , can't make the car ride without Air Conditioning. Just have to reschedule.  Was going in about my sinuses and I'm sure my Breathing is labored from the Heat and Humidity being so high. Everyone ive talked to is having Sinuse problems,  and for this time of year it's unusual here .Really starting to feel like it's got something to do with the Blue Green Algae that has been a problem this year.  Or the winds have been blowing in from the Gulf could it be the Chemical Corexit they used on the Oil Spill with the heat it has vaporized and is entering the air ? Things that make you go Hum.

Good morn y'all hope everyone is having a great start to their day. Seems like just about every person I talk to is having major problems with their sinuses around here, as well as myself one word of advice be very careful taking Sudafed it dried my Lungs out causing me to feel like I couldn't breath, the mucus that many of us have with COPD would not come up. Till the Sudafed wore off . So be very leery of this medicine if it is in the Prescription form . Make me feel like I was having a Flare up. Going to Pulmonologist for follow up in the morning. Have a Great day my friends.

I just watched Woodstock on American Experience - PBS. While I never had ambition of going, I also didn't understand the significance of it. Essentially nearly 1/2 million kids enjoyed 3 days of peace and music...and each other. Surprisingly, the community pitched in to help feed them when food ran out, All in all a very peaceful concert during some very trying times, just a couple years before the Vietnam war ended. Good watch if you get a chance to catch it.

A NEW PHONE IS FINALLY BEING DELIVERED TODAY; BUT they need a signature. i will just have to wait to call the ambulance. Montelukast and inhaler might barely get me through another day again, i hope. The ambulance drivers know i feel breathe better when they check me out and see my vitals and bp, oxygen is ok, and let me go. Why is that and how much of this is panic? My chest congestion needs to be broken up and feels cold and dry. I breathe better when tha cough is productive. I really have cut down on my smoking because I can't breathe whenever I smoke. IT IS NOW DO OR DIE>AND I AM ACTUALLY DOING IT!
