Social Media

Social media can be a powerful tool that enables you to connect with elected officials and other policy makers on issues that are important to you. The key is to write clear and concise messages that show the intended recipient of the post why the issue is important and why they should care about it. When possible, provide a specific ask, such as voting for or against particular legislation. Click here to learn more about the different social media platforms you can use.

Connect with Local Media

Connecting with others at a local level is important. One way you can gain attention locally is by writing a letter to the editor, also known as an Op Ed letter for your local newspaper. If you want to write a letter, but don’t know where to start, click here for a sample letter.
