We are Pleased to Report the Success of IMPACT 2021!
Our virtual advocacy event took place Tuesday, October 12, 2021. If you have "marched" on Washington with us before, IMPACT events are an opportunity to inspire action in COPD by sharing experiences and speaking with members of Congress to highlight the critical needs in our COPD community.
Advocacy is no longer just about speaking up to support policy changes. Stakeholders, such as those who develop drugs and devices, design healthcare, and make regulatory and reimbursement policy, are looking to infuse the patient, caregiver and healthcare professional's perspectives into their work in a meaningful way. We are working hard to ensure your voice is heard in these initiatives.
On Friday, October 8, 2021, the COPD Foundation sponsored a 90-minute Listening Session with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) focusing on the need for qualified drug development tools to stimulate and support new therapies. Our IMPACT 2021 leveraged the outcomes from this meeting as well as the need to prioritize another year of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funding for the Chronic Disease Education and Awareness program to combat COPD.
We are thankful to all who participated and supported this very important virtual event.
THANK YOU for joining us for IMPACT 2021!
The COPD Foundation would like to thank our Corporate Partners for providing the funding to deliver this important program.
Without their support, IMPACT 2021 would not have been possible.
