IMPACT 2021

We are Pleased to Announce IMPACT 2021!

Our virtual advocacy event will take place Tuesday, October 12, 2021. If you have "marched" on Washington with us before, we hope you will again seize this opportunity to inspire action in COPD by sharing experiences and speaking with members of Congress to highlight the critical needs in our COPD community. If this is your first IMPACT event, we welcome you to join us!

Advocacy is no longer just about speaking up to support policy changes. Stakeholders, such as those who develop drugs and devices, design healthcare, and make regulatory and reimbursement policy, are looking to infuse the patient, caregiver and healthcare professional's perspectives into their work in a meaningful way. We are working hard to ensure your voice is heard in these initiatives.

On Friday, October 8, 2021, the COPD Foundation is sponsoring a 90-minute Listening Session with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) focusing on the need for qualified drug development tools to stimulate and support new therapies. Our IMPACT 2021 agenda will leverage the outcomes from this meeting as well as the need to prioritize another year of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funding for the Chronic Disease Education and Awareness program to combat COPD.

Similar to last year, no travel to Washington, DC is required. All activities will be conducted from the comfort of your own home as long as you have access to a computer with internet and a telephone. There is no cost to participate in this program.

We ask once again for your help and invite you to participate in this very important virtual event…help us keep the momentum going by joining us for IMPACT 2021!

Together we can – and will – make a tremendous IMPACT!

If you are interested in participating, please register here.

Contact your elected officials through our COPD Action Center, sign up to become a COPD Foundation State Captain or simply use your voice to spread awareness about these important issues to anyone who will listen.

The COPD Foundation would like to thank our Corporate Partners for providing the funding to deliver this important program. Without their support, IMPACT 2021 would not be possible.
