Make a difference in the lives of those who struggle for every breath. Your contribution will allow us to provide free services and materials to 30 million Americans and 210 million individuals living with COPD worldwide.
Our innovative programs include
COPD360social, an online social networking community dedicated solely to COPD and is seamlessly integrated with the COPD Foundation website. The platform allows the Foundation to more effectively engage our target audience and gain a deeper understanding of the ever-changing needs and interests of our community. Members include individuals affected by COPD including patients, family members, caregivers, friends, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Harmonicas for Health, the first national harmonica program created for individuals with COPD and other chronic lung diseases. Harmonica practice allows individuals with COPD to better control breathing, exercise the muscles that help pull air in and push air out of the lungs, strengthen abdominal muscles for a more effective cough, and more. Participants of the Harmonicas for Health program can order free education kits that include a basic model harmonica, Play Harmonica Today! book with DVD and audio CD, and easy-to-read information on lung anatomy, COPD, and breathing techniques.
The C.O.P.D. Information Line, a toll-free hotline (1-866-316-COPD), which is administered by individuals living with COPD, for individuals with COPD.
The COPD Foundation is also the resource center for informative literature on COPD. Materials available include: The 1s, 2s, and 3s of COPD, What is COPD?, and The Impact of Smoking—all available in Spanish.
With your support we can continue to make these services available widely while we relentlessly work with the research community to search for a cure.
