Hello to Everyone Here
I’m hoping someone here can answer my question which is very worrisome to me.
I am 73 and smoked an average of 2/3 pack for 28 years and stopped at age 46 about 27 years ago. I have had numerous chest X-rays over the years all good no CT scan guess I didn’t smoke enough. I just got Covid and have a mild case of atypical pneumonia. They say there are some mild emphysematous changes! I have asked two different Drs and got two responses; one has said it due to the Covid pneumonia which will dispate and the other days it’s from my smoking history although I had a chest x ray in January and no mention??!! I read that if you have emphysema that it increases your chances of getting lung cancer!!! But it also said the more significant the emphysema the greater the chances. Anyone have experience here or is there a Doc that could kindly answer. Thanks to
