File this under the dumbest question in the world: how does exercise help with COPD?
Just a few years ago I was a Zumba queen, bouncing around like a rabbit. Then a congenital hip injury flared (no wonder with the Zumba) and I got lazy and gained 50 pounds. Then got depressed. i really have done little to no exercise except for some sporadic water aerobics.
I am going to be attending pulmonary rehab and I'd like to know - what does exercise in general do for you? From a medical perspective, what does it do for your lungs? From your personal perspective, how does it help you overall?
Thanks,
